Kiri has 15 years of Early Years experience, starting as an Apprentice and now a Nursery Manager. Fees
Fees received late will incur an administrative charge of £30.
Fees include meals, snacks, milk for infants, nappies and extracurricular activities.
Fee increases are calculated every year in July based on the previous year’s running costs and are applied in September’s invoice.

Our educators at Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane undergo a comprehensive two-day induction that includes essential training such as paediatric first aid certification. Beyond this, we invest in their ongoing development through role-specific training, one-to-one coaching, and career growth programs. This ensures that our teams are equipped to deliver exceptional care and enriching learning experiences to every child.
At Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane, we strictly adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, which outlines the staff-to-child ratios. For children under two, the ratio is 1:3; for two-year-olds, it’s 1:5; and for children aged three and over, the ratio is 1:8. These ratios help ensure that each child receives the attentive, high-quality care and education they deserve.
Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, can thrive. Our experienced team works closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to create personalised support plans, ensuring that all children have access to the full curriculum and can fully participate in nursery activities.
The settling-in period at Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane begins with you liaising with our Admissions team to provide all necessary details. Our Nursery Manager will then help organise your child’s first settling session, which is based on your proposed start date. On the first day, the parent and child will attend for a short visit, with the parent remaining onsite while the child gets familiar with the environment and the people around them. This transition period helps your child build initial bonds and feel more comfortable in their new setting. The settling-in period is free of charge and generally lasts one week, but it can be extended to two weeks if needed to ensure a smooth transition for your child.

In a nursery, your child will have more opportunities for social interaction, exposing them to a diverse range of children from different backgrounds and cultures. Unlike childminders who operate from their homes, Fennies offers spacious facilities and a wide variety of resources that engage children in learning throughout the day, especially as they spend full days, five days a week with us.
At Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane, we welcome children from 3 months to 5 years of age. Our nursery is designed to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring that each child’s developmental needs are met at every stage of their early years.
At Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane, the number of trips we offer depends on various factors, such as weather and the children’s learning themes. We aim to enhance their learning with experiences like visits to local fire stations, farms, libraries, and shops. These outings provide valuable hands-on opportunities to learn outside the nursery environment.

We worked alongside Dr Sam Wass on the designs we use for the walls at our nurseries. At Fennies Reading, Rose Kiln Lane we believe that children require calm and beautiful places where they can focus on enjoying learning and playing, hence all our nurseries are created with bright and spacious environments. White walls are used within these environments to provide a neutral background that enhances focus and reduces any visual distractions the children could experience. If the walls were to contain designs, it could lead to overstimulating the children which could in turn, hinder their ability to focus on learning.
