We recognise the numerous benefits of outdoor learning. It serves as a platform for children's imaginations to flourish and promotes their mental well-being by providing a refreshing escape. Additionally, outdoor play helps channel their abundant energy into active engagement, contributing to their physical development.

This dedication is reflected in everything we do, from our curriculum to our supportive teams, helping every child thrive and preparing them for school.
At Fennies Croydon, Lower Addiscombe Road, each day is thoughtfully structured to support children’s growth and development through a balance of educational activities and play-based learning. From the start of the day, children engage in a welcoming environment where they can explore a variety of stimulating activities tailored to their interests and developmental stages. Our educators guide them through both group and individual learning experiences, focusing on key areas like communication, physical activity, and creative play. Meal and snack times are a chance to enjoy nutritious food prepared by our on-site chefs, and outdoor play provides opportunities for fresh air, exercise, and exploration. The day is rounded out with quiet moments for rest, ensuring children feel refreshed and ready for more discovery. Throughout the day, parents receive updates via our parent app, so you’re always in the loop on those special moments throughout the day.
CCTV is only installed around the exterior of the building for added security. On the other hand, CCTV is not installed in our rooms. This is because when it comes to team selection, we place great trust in our recruitment process, ensuring we only hire the best caregivers for our nurseries. CCTV would create a ‘big brother’ working environment where the team’s every move is monitored, removing any trust in their professional practice. If parents wish to remain up to date with their child’s activities and well-being throughout the day, our team provides regular updates on our Famly app. We do not allow lone working, meaning there will always be a minimum of two team members with your child at all times, ensuring your child is in a safe and secure environment at all times.
Our Lower Addiscombe Road nursery opened in July 2023. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are custom-designed and built by our team of internal experts to enhance each child’s learning and development.
Fennies’ educators undergo a comprehensive two-day induction with essential training, including paediatric first aid certification. Beyond this, we invest in their ongoing development through role-specific training, one-to-one coaching, and career growth programs, ensuring our teams are equipped to deliver exceptional care and learning experiences.
We do! Our Croydon nursery accepts all eligible government childcare funding schemes, including the 15 and 30 hours free childcare for working families. Our team can help you understand how to apply and how funding can be used to cover some of the nursery fees.
