What you need:
  • A Ball (Any Kind)

What to do:
  1. Stand In A Circle: Have the children form a circle.
  2. Choose A Category: Pick a topic like animals, colours, or fruits.
  3. Start The Game: Explain the rules:
  • A child throws the ball to the next person. 
  • Before catching it, the child must say something from the chosen category, e.g. Farm Animals.
  • If they say the wrong word or drop the ball, they can either sit out for the round or restart with a new category.

Tip!
Extend the game by asking children to think of words that start with the same letter or rhyme with each other, supporting language development.
